Hailing from Helsinki, Fusiotherapy is a jazz fusion, as a brainchild of drummer Kille Miettinen and bass player Timo Tuppurainen. They had some compositions of their own and wished to start a species of a ”therapy” group to perform them. The pair quickly recruited keyboardist Antti Utriainen, and the group was completed with guitarist Jussi Kontinen. The band began rehearsing in early 2012 and were rapidly ready to record their first album: the recording sessions took place in July and the debut recordin, 1st Session, was issued in the beginning of 2013.

The band members are all experienced musicians. Keyboardist Antti Utriainen -- a former member of the Jukka Tolonen Band -- leads his own Antti Utriainen Trio. Timo Tuppurainen’s previous and current bands include Lenni-Kalle Taipale Trio, U-Street All Stars and Hemma Beast, just to mention a few. Konttinen and Miettinen, in turn, both beling to a hard rock band named The Plastic Explosives.
