Aleksis Liukko Trio is led by pianist Aleksis Liukko.

Liukko graduated with a master's degree in music from the University of Gothenburg in 2019. He plays in various ensembles, including the Sointi Jazz Orchestra, for which he has also composed and arranged music, as well as the Juho Peltoniemi Trio and the Anton Berg Collective.

Bassist Mikael Saastamoinen and drummer Okko Saastamoinen, who are among the top Finnish musicians of the moment, bring strong ensemble playing and natural musical communication to the trio. The African American tradition in music is evident, and their skillful approach to improvisation also creates energetic, Nordic, and lively colorful atmospheres.

Aleksis Liukko Trio released their debut album in December 2022.
