Juho Kivivuori (b. 1983) is a jazzmusician originally from Värtsilä, North Karelia, who masters both electric and doublebass. Known as an expressive and versatile musician, Kivivuori appears in numerous jazz bands including UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra, Nassaun Fasaani, Jere Haakana Varjosto, Martti Vesala Soundpost Quintet and Mirja Mäkelä Trio.

Kivivuori started his music studies with violin in the Conservatory of Middle Karelia when he was only 4-years-old but changed his main instrument electric bass 10 years later. After this Kivivuori has studied in the Conservatory of Joensuu (2002-2004), Stadia University of Applied Sciences (2004-2006) and since 2006 on the jazz department of Sibelius Academy where he is currently finishing his Master's degree. In 2009-2010 he studied in the University of Gothenburgh as an exchange student under Anders Jormin.
