Alessandro D'Anna is a jazz drummer, born in 1992.D'Anna has graduated from Tre University of Rome in modern literature and from Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Rome in Classical Composition & Didactic of Music with a master's degree. D'Anna has studied drums with Victor Lewis, Gregory Hutchinson, Jeff Ballard, Mark Guiliana, Gianni Di Renzo, John Wooton and Fabrizio Sferra

From his arrival on the national scene in 2012, D'Anna has made music that grows from an uncanny talent to hear the future and a headstrong desire to play it. D'Anna has collected many important collaborations with international jazz musicians all around the world such as David Kikoski, Benito Gonzalez, Essiet Okon Essiet, Mark Gross, Janusz Muniak, Eve Cornelious, Gregory Boyd, Abraham Burton, Rotem Sivan, Alexi Tuomarila and Maurizio Giammarco, among many others.

D'Anna has played in at venues and festivals in both Europe and the Americas, including i.a. in Italy, Finland, United States, Mexico, Russia, Germany, England, Poland and the Baltics. He has performed i.a. at Pori Jazz Festival, Philharmonia of Odessa, Jazz Standard NYC, Kukko Jazz Festival, Turku Monk Jazz Club, Fara Jazz Festival, Drama Theater of Brest, Tuscia Jazz Festival, Alexanderplatz Jazz Club and Rome Jazz Festival.
