JazzPiknik features four extraordinary live acts and DJ sets in downtown Helsinki next Sunday

Urban Sunday picnic brings live bands and DJ music to mbar terrace and Lasipalatsi Square on August 4th.

JazzPiknik tops the Jazz-Espa concert series and offers a great variety of Finnish jazz. In the picnic basket we have everything from PLOP trio’s hilariously anarchistic free jazz, Jaska Lukkarinen Quartet‘s more traditional approach and Lightboxer‘s cool grooves to the final kaboom: rootsy afro jazz blast by the Finnish-Beninese 8-piece band Helsinki – Cotonou Ensemble. The record plates are kept sizzling hot by We Jazz DJs throughout one of the last summer nights. The event is family-friendly in the afternoon.
