Mikko Arlin (b. 1983) is a versatile, energetic drummer from Helsinki, Finland. Arlin started his studies at the jazz department of Sibelius Academy in 2008 and has since been studying in the guidance of i.a. Jukkis Uotila and Teppo Mäkynen. In Spring 2011 Arlin graduated as the Bachelor of Music and is now continuing his studies on the Master's level. The academic year 2012-2013 Arlin studies at the Royal Music School of Sweden aiming to gain international experience as a musician at the same time.

Mikko Arlin has performed as a freelancer musician with several different groups such as Olli Hirvonen Quartet, Nina Höynälä Band and Tribute To Ella Group. He sees his musical diversity as a benefit and is thus trying to transfer this attitude to master different music styles to the younger drummers as well by teaching drums in different music schools. In 2002 Arlin was awarded with the Newcomer of the Year Prize of Jazz Bar in Jyväskylä and in 2012 Arlin received the Erik Lindström Grant.
