Johanna Försti




Johanna Försti (b. 1974) is Finnish singer, originally from Evijärvi. Försti has studied music education at the University of Jyväskylä and pop/jazz music at the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. After graduating she has worked as a singer in very different pop/jazz/soul-groups and tv-shows, such as in Dancing with the stars (Tanssii tähtien kanssa) -tv-show with the band of Sami Pitkämö and as the captain of Obladii-musicshow.

Recently Försti has been working with Jo Stance -band, a project organized by drummer Teppo Mäkynen that released their extremely praised debutalbum Jo Stance in November 2010. Besides Jo Stance, Försti has been working in recent years with i.a. UMO, Tuomo Prättälä, Lenni-Kalle Taipale, Quintessence, Huba and Sami Saari.
